Wyman Associates Announces Visual Scheduling OCX Module

JobTime Systems, Inc.'s affiliate Wyman Associates has announced that the release of SmartBoard OCX, a visual scheduling board that can link to any MRP/ERP system that has access to either the Microsoft NT/2000 or Windows 95/98/2000 platforms.   SmartBoard is a companion module of SmartSched, and provides both developers and users of ERP/MRP systems with a add-in module visual tool for managing the shop schedule.  Paul Wyman, the company's founder and president, describes SmartBoard as "the electronic analog of the magnetic scheduling board used by production schedulers in days past."  OCX controls are true 'snap-in' modules that allow Microsoft compliant software systems to quickly easily add capability, such as finite scheduling and a visual schedule board.  

Giving users a visual interface to their schedule allows them to quickly pinpoint their bottlenecks and unused capacity. SmartBoard's unique Drag-and-Drop Scheduling capability provides away to quickly balance the work load and bring more orders in on time, as well as maximizing capacity usage and reducing lead times.

Resellers of both Accounting and Manufacturing software can now offer SmartBoard to modernize the appearance of their shop control systems.  SmartBoard and ERP/MRP systems can integrate seamlessly to provide an enterprise-wide accounting, manufacturing and shop-execution solution.
